Winding Up
Eddie McGuire used to say that "it's a been a big week in football". Well, it's been a big week for me ... and this without a doubt tops it off.
To anyone else out there wading through their PhD - the hardship, wounded egos and supervisory miscommunications are all worth it for the congratulatory handshake (and yeah, the balloon) you get across the front desk of Grad Studies. Then again, maybe I've got so many endorphins swimming through my bloodstream at the moment, my judgement might be slightly clouded ... but in the best possible way!!
To everyone who's helped me out during this time, thanks heaps. Y'all know who you are.

crunchy - you'll be there before you know it, believe me ... do you ever recall thinking that "jeez, 3 years seems like such a long time?" after first year, time positively flies ;-)
jonno - nope, i've had enough of being a professional student and it's definitely time to go get a "real job"! and sad to say, i did (albeit unintentionally) celebrate into the wee hours - was still feeling the after effects well into the following day >:-(
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I can imagine the sense of relief and achievement now that it's all over (and Pride!). Well done. Now go spoil yourself silly.
